Ocoee playwright Kris Bauske is celebrating the recent success of her comedy/drama “Grandma’s Little Helper.”

The script took honors in the 12th annual Chameleon Theatre Circle’s New Play Festival for best full-length play.  The play will receive a reading at the 2011 festival in Apple Valley, Minn., in September, and Bauske will travel to the festival to participate.  The author received a certificate and financial award for the win.

“Grandma’s Little Helper” is about what transpires after a grandmother takes on a home health aide. The play touches on the themes of aging, family responsibility, morality and hypocrisy.

The play and others written by Bauske are represented by Gary DaSilva. More info at:   www.krisbauske.com
